Minimal project where the issue occures

When I create the ratingBar using the designer and I change properties like "Num Stars" or "Rating", those values seem to be ignored.

Also, when I try to change the images used by the RatingBar by using a different style, the RatingBar shows nothing at all.

I tried my aproach to change the image by using the ADT. After I got it working I copied the layout file and the style definitions into a blank xamarin project. The ADT projekt works fine, in Xamarin I am not able to get it working.
I will attach my minimal project, so I hope you can recreate the issue. The main.axml includes only a RelativeLayout and a RatingBar. The RatingBar however is not visible

Currently I am not able to use the RatingBar at all.

I can reproduce the reported behavior using sample provided in the bug description, I need confirmation from the developer if it is a bug.

Here are my observations.

In the sample project user try to change the images used by the RatingBar by using a different style(Using a xamal file),the user gives the xaml file path to the "Progreess Drawable" property, the RatingBar shows nothing at all. I observed that if I change the path of the "Progreess Drawable" property of rating bar to "@drawable/ic_bewertung_aktiv"(Icon) insted of "@drawable/ratingbar_full"(XAML) file, then "Num Stars" or "Rating" works properly and user is able to see the rating bar.

One small addition.
In your screencast, the rating is ignored as soon as you change the "Progreess Drawable" property of rating bar to "@drawable/ic_bewertung_aktiv"(Icon)

And just in case it helps:

This is still happening in the current alpha, though it seems to only be the NumStars property that is being ignored
