You can pass CGColor and other CG types which are not NSObjects.
Could you please provide us direction/suggestion so that we can check this issue?
CABasicAnimation.From and CABasicAnimation.To property should accept things other than NSObject.
Fixed in master:
maccore - 3d2ec24a463b1754a2d834cb3b4d174adb1f1e63
xamcore - b7cdf23e746fdfbf2117effdce181d968c7b3535
Sorry, the milestone was incorrect. This will make 2.0 not 1.12.
* 3d2ec24 - Add CABasicAnimation To/From/By bindings for non-NSObject. (2 months ago)<Chris Hamons>
I have checked this issue and observed that we are still getting this issue with latest build of master xamarin.mac-22.214.171.1241.
Screencast : http://www.screencast.com/t/6TIiOGS0jLmU
Hence reopening this issue.
This is fixed in those versions. What i neglected to mention is that due to our inability to break API / unable to have property of more than one type, the non NSObject API looks like:
public T GetFromAs <T> () where T : class, INativeObject
public void SetFrom (INativeObject value)
public T GetToAs <T> () where T : class, INativeObject
public void SetTo (INativeObject value)
public T GetByAs <T> () where T : class, INativeObject
public void SetBy (INativeObject value)

As per comment 7 I have checked this issue again and observed that issue has been fixed and its working fine. Now, the non NSObject API looks like as describe in comment 7: Here is the screencast for the same: http://www.screencast.com/t/WPPOJswQ
Hence I am closing this issue.
