Steps to reproduce:

1. Open attached test project.
2. Set startup project to Android and deploy
3. Perform a quick flick upwards on the Grid in the ScrollView.

expected result: Gird contents will scroll up and remain within ScrollView

Actual Result: Grid contents extend above ScrollView.

See attached video.

The content of a scroolview shows outside its "borders"

The image show a custom error-page i have made for an application. When clicking the "show stacktrace" button the stack-trace of an exception is shown underneeth the button in a scrollview.

When flicking up the content exceeds the scroolviews borders.

The problem appears in android, not in windows phone. I cannot test it with ios

Sorry for the confusing comment above. I haven't been using Bugzilla before. Just wanted to add that i have been experiencing the same problem (1.2.1). I have added an image that illustrate the problem.
Comment 5 Brendan Zagaeski (Xamarin Team, assistant) 2014-08-01 13:05:29 UTC
I was testing this for comparison to another issue, and it looks like this test case is fixed in Xamarin.Forms 1.2.2.6243.

I was able to reproduce on 1.1.1.6206 and 1.2.1.6229 [1], but not on 1.2.2.6243.

[1] ... after adding the NavigationPage workaround required by that version: http://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/20481/v-1-2-1-nullreferenceexception-at-platform-android-platform-setactionbartextcolor
Comment 6 Eric Grover 2014-08-01 18:53:24 UTC
Brendan, I am still seeing this issue in version 1.2.2.6243.
Comment 7 Brendan Zagaeski (Xamarin Team, assistant) 2014-08-01 19:14:23 UTC
With the attached test case? If not, and you can zip up and attach a new test case, that would be perfect.

That said, I'm working on another customer case right now where a visually similar problem was reported, but in that case a Grid layout might not be involved. In short, there might be other variations of this issue that are not resolved in 1.2.2.6243.
Comment 8 Dan Vanderboom 2014-08-12 12:22:56 UTC
I've run into the same problem.

The workaround: put the ScrollView inside another container (I used an empty ContentView, not sure if that's a good idea?), place that control in the right Grid cell, and it will work.

I have checked this issue and able to reproduce this issue. To reproduce this issue I have followed the steps and sample application provided in bug description.

Steps I followed:

1. Open attached sample application in VS
2. Set android as startup project
3. Deploy it on device
4. Rotate the device in Landscape view
5. Perform a quick flick upwards on the Grid in the ScrollView
6. When flicking up observe the content exceeds the scroolviews borders.

I have attached the screenshot of the device. Please refer the screenshot.

I have checked this issue with the Xamarin.Forms Version: 1.3.3.6321-pre2 and observed that this issue is working fine. Now, on performing a quick flick upwards on the Grid in the ScrollView the content does't exceeds the scroolviews borders.
Please refer the screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/t/vQoZvC67v8h
