RESOLVED FIXED

Description Andrew Young 2011-08-05 14:31:31 UTC
When clicking the "Run" button in the toolbar to run the application in the simulator it builds and installs the app just fine but does not immediately run the app in the simulator. In order to get the app to run in the simulator I have to click anywhere inside the so-called "screen" of the simulator before the app starts. Previous to upgrading to Lion and Xcode 4.1, it would automatically run the app in the simulator without any user interaction. Same with debugging.

Interestingly, if the iOS Simulator was not already running it would behave as usual and start the app right away as expected. But if the simulator is already running, this is when the app doesn't start right away.

MonoTouch 4.0.4.1
Mono 2.10.3
MonoDevelop 2.5.92

This has been fixed now (0be0b4e), the next MonoDevelop release will include it.

I'm still having this issue. I just upgraded MT and MD. I'm clicking the "Run" button but the app in the Simulator does not start automatically.

MonoTouch 4.1 beta
MonoDevelop 2.6 RC1
Mono 2.10.4

Just tried debugging and it does work as advertised. I guess its just the "Run" button that has the issue now.
Comment 4 Rolf Bjarne Kvinge [MSFT] 2011-09-13 04:05:46 UTC
Fixed now for "Run" too, it will be included in the next MonoDevelop release.
