Screen capture of invalid references

When opening an existing project in XS 5.0 (that works just fine in older versions of XS), both two of my added components (ZipArchive & Json.Net) indicates that their references have not been added to the project despite the fact that they are visible under references. (See attached screenshot). If I remove the existing references and add new ones then XS is happy again.

Compiling for the emulator now works fine, but if I compile for iOS device I get 3 errors:

Error #1
Error MT5211: Native linking failed, undefined Objective-C class: _OBJC_CLASS_$_ZipArchiveDelegate. If '_OBJC_CLASS_$_ZipArchiveDelegate' is a protocol from a third-party binding, please check that it has the [Protocol] attribute in its api definition file, otherwise verify that all the necessary frameworks have been referenced and native libraries are properly linked in. (MT5211) (Involve)

Error #2
Error MT5210: Native linking failed, undefined symbol: _OBJC_METACLASS_$_ZipArchiveDelegate. Please verify that all the necessary frameworks have been referenced and native libraries are properly linked in. (MT5210) (Involve)

Error #3
Error MT5202: Native linking failed. Please review the build log. (MT5202) (Involve)

Let me know if I can provide any further information. Thanks!

Btw, XS 5.0 looks great! :)

Cheers!

The 3rd party author of ZipArchive has not updated his component to be compatible with the new registrars [1] requirements.

The new registrars are default in 7.2.1 [2] but were introduced a year ago in 6.2.6 [3]. They fixes several issues but can require some (generally minor) changes to bindings. Most components have been updated, some for a long time and some recently.

The workaround is to use the older registrars by adding this to the "Additional mtouch arguments" of your project:

    --registrar:legacy

[1] http://docs.xamarin.com/guides/ios/advanced_topics/registrar/
[2] http://docs.xamarin.com/releases/ios/xamarin.ios_7/xamarin.ios_7.2/#1
[3] http://docs.xamarin.com/releases/ios/xamarin.ios_6/xamarin.ios_6.2/

p.s. for the issues specific to XS5 can you please file a separate bug report (on the "Xamarin Studio" product). You can copy/paste the top part of this bug report. Thanks!
