Screenshot for the bug
Step to Reproduce:
1. Launch MonoDevelop.
2. Click on "Open the existing Solution" link.
3. Browse the "AppsDemo" application.
4. Build the application and select "Debug/Release" option under Active Configuration.
5. Click on Run from the top menu bar and select API 10 from select device window.
Error "Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_MISSING_SHARED_LIBRARY] " occurs in deploying the application on Emulator in Debug/Release mode.
Error should not occur in running the application and application should deploy on the emulator successfully.
Error "Error: Could not access the Package Manager. Is the system running?" occurs when user run and deploy the application on API 14 in Debug/Release mode.
Error "Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_MISSING_SHARED_LIBRARY] " occurs in deploying
the application on Emulator in Debug/Release mode on API 7.
I believe (3) is MapsDemo:
The screenshot attachment agrees with me.
This isn't a Mono for Android problem, this is an environmental problem: the README needs to be clearer, but you need to create a new emulator that contains the Google Maps library. It won't work on the default API level image.
"Creating a device with Google Maps support"
Adjust the Target value as appropriate, e.g. for API level 10 Maps, you need to select the "Google APIs (Google Inc.) - API Level 10" target.
Error "Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_MISSING_SHARED_LIBRARY]occurs when we run the app on API 10(Debug/Release) mode and "Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_OLDER_SDK on API 14 at Debug mode Failed to get packaged list.on Release mode at API 14 and "Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_MISSING_SHARED_LIBRARY]on API 7 in (Debug/Release) mode.
Environment on Windows7:
MonoDevelop 3.0 Beta1
This is is fixed, as now the application APIDemo run successfully on API-10 and API-14. However, on API-7 it does not run successfully for which another bug has been logged, i.e. Bug 2209 - Many samples layouts are not compatible with API Level 7.
Hence, closing this issue.
