RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 11466

Description Josh B 2014-04-28 16:17:37 UTC
This occurs whether you are in the design or source/xml view.

Pressing Control Z (Undo) deletes the ENTIRE layout content. This occurs if you have no changes that can be "undone". In fact, if you open a file and immediately hit CTRL+Z, it will do this. This makes it somewhat difficult to create layouts.

I have checked this issue with VS, and I am also able to reproduce it.

Steps to reproduce :
1. Create Android sample project in VS
2. Open designer file .axml
3. Open source view of designer file
4. Press Ctrl + z

Actual Result : It deletes all content in source file of .axml file as shown in screencast : http://screencast.com/t/sGnMcmhif

Expected Result : It should not delete content of .axml file. Because there is nothing to undo.

Thanks for the report and confirmation!

It does not save the change and only happens when there are no changes to undo, so the loss should be immediately reverse-able. Still, since this issue has the capacity to delete user data unintentionally, increasing priority.
