RESOLVED FIXED

Description Dennis Kingsley 2014-04-08 09:14:39 UTC
When running "make check" on the current head of the main branch the unit test "test-mono-linked-list-set" fails with the following message "* Assertion at hazard-pointer.c:358, condition `small_id == i' not met".

I have done some sleuthing and it looks like mono_threads_init in ./mono/utils/mono-threads.c near line 326 there is a call to mono_thread_smr_init.

Further looking at the unit test /mono/mono/unit-tests/test-mono-linked-list-set.c near line 150 in the main function the mono_threads_init is called and then the mono_threads_smr_init function is called. It is this second call the mono_threads_smr_init that fails.

Commenting out the line with mono_threads_smr_init in the unit test seems to correct the problem.

This test has been failing on our RHEL 5.3 system for awhile (since Mono 3.0.x) and I finally got around to looking for the source.
