Description Iakov K 2014-02-25 06:31:03 UTC
Details:
Visual Studion 2012
Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2012

Xamarin.Android 4.10.02014 (4b53fbd0)

I started development an android application with Xamarin.Android.
Some days it worked well, but now...

In order to debug my app I need to view the android device log.
I do the following:
1. start the debug session (F5).
2. open the android device logging window (View->Other Windows).
After a second or two the Visual Studio crashes (probably during filling that window).

I tried to check this issue but unable to reproduce it.

Steps to reproduce:

(1) Create an "Sample android app" on "Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2012".
(2) Debug the "Sample android app".
(3) Open the "android device logging window".

I don't know how to reproduce.

I am developer myself and understand how hard it is to isolate such bugs. Fix is usually much simpler.

Does it matter that I did the debugging on the device, via usb?

To recover, I deleted all the Visual Studio created files: suo, bin etc.

After that it doesn't crash anymore.

As per Comment 2, user is not facing this issue any more. Hence closing this issue.
