Screenshot of Visual Studio with Drawable/Icon.png

In Visual Studio 2013, I changed the file Icon.png to my Drawables folder. When I do a Build > Rebuild Solution I receive the following two errors:

Error	1	No resource found that matches the given name (at 'icon' with value '@drawable/icon').	Z:\tom\work\xamarin\code\private-samples\QuickUISample\QuickUI.Droid\obj\Debug\android\AndroidManifest.xml	5	QuickUI.Droid
Error	2	No resource found that matches the given name (at 'icon' with value '@drawable/icon').	Z:\tom\work\xamarin\code\private-samples\QuickUISample\QuickUI.Droid\obj\Debug\android\AndroidManifest.xml	6	QuickUI.Droid

As per the attached screenshot, Drawable/Icon.png does exist.

Icon.png not showing up in ApplicationIcon drop down

Possibly related. Notice that "icon" does not appear in the drop down for Application Icon.

invalid icon error

Another interesting situation. I deleted the file Icon.png added ic_launcher.png, and then restarted Visual Studio. Notice that the Application Icon drop down now displays ic_launcher.

However, even though ic_launcher is selected as the application icon, Visual Studio still gives me an error about @drawable/icon.

I have checked this issue with the Sample android application and with some of the mono android samples.I am able to build applications successfully having "icon.png" in drawable folder.

Environment info:
All windows
VS 2012/2013
X.Android 4.12.0-28

Tom,Could you please attach the app or sample for which you have got this issue so I can try to replicate with that sample also.?

Thanks

I have checked this issue with attached project and observed that when I build this project without any change it is showing me build error. This is the gist for the same: https://gist.github.com/saurabh360/0eb189f1cd2899560c87

When I Add .png file under Drawable folder or rename .png file then I can see the updated or added .png under dropdown of Application Icon. This is the screencast for the same: http://www.screencast.com/t/8Grvl0jdW3nF

Please let me know is it correct behavior now?

Checked with:
VS 2013/2012
XVS 3.7.248

@Tom, Are you still observing the Issue you mentioned?

No, I don't see this happening anymore.

As per comment 7
>>No, I don't see this happening anymore.

It seems that this is working fine, so as of now I am closing this issue.

Thanks..!
