The dock shading is badly misrendered on Mac. Most of the shadows are off by a couple of pixels, and there are shadows in places they shouldn't be. The one-px lines rendered around the edges of pads look like they're off by a bit too, such that they render over the pad content. This may also cause causing the off-by-one discontinuity on the right edge of pad toolbar has an off-by-one issues. And when hovering the mouse over the area between pads, the point at which it turns into a gripper is not symmetric about the center of the areas.
Marking major because it makes MD look *really* ugly.
I worked around this in 2.8.6 by disabling the pad shadow rendering.
This appears to have been caused by a breaking change in GTK#: see bug 2940.
Marking fixed, the workaround is sufficient.
