Description David Schwegler 2014-01-10 15:14:13 UTC
In Visual Studio, go to the iOS Application properties screen for an iOS project.

Problem 1: There is a "Version" field, but no "Build" field. This field exists in Xamarin Studio on Mac.

Problem 2: Setting the Version field sets CFBundleVersion property. This is incorrect, as the Version field should correspond to the CFBundleShortVersionString property, and the Build field should correspond to the CFBundleVersion property.

SYSTEM INFO:
Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2013
Version 12.0.21005.1 REL
Xamarin.iOS 1.8.365 (8cb9dbd0)

We have checked this with:

Windows 8
VS 2013
MTVS 1.8.365

Problem 1
We are also not getting "Build field" with VS under iOS application properties. However in XS on mac we are getting "Build field".

For problem 2:
We are also getting the same issue, if we set the Version field then it is displaying in info folder of project in CFBundleVersion.

Please let us know if we have to check something else?

We have checked this issue.

Problem 1: We are getting the "Build" field with VS under iOS application properties.

Problem 2: After setting the Version field sets CFBundleVersion property, Version field is displaying correspond to the CFBundleShortVersionString property, and the Build field is displaying correspond to the CFBundleVersion property.
