Description bryan costanich 2013-11-15 21:38:35 UTC
Widget padding is definable in android (see: http://developer.android.com/guide/practices/ui_guidelines/widget_design.html)

but there's nothing in the designer attribute pad for it.

margin is there. padding not so much.

It's there: http://screencast.com/t/w0f9rlC8LKFn
Comment 2 bryan costanich 2013-11-30 16:35:27 UTC
shouldn't it be grouped with margin?
Comment 3 Lluis Sanchez 2013-12-02 08:35:14 UTC
Padding is a widget property, but margin is a layout property, that is, it is provided by the container, not by the widget itself. That's why it is shown under the ViewGroup section. That section changes depending on the container where the widget is placed. I think it is good to have widget and layout properties separated.
