Condition: User should not be logged into XamarinAcount->Developer Account
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open X.S
2. Open or create any iOS application
3. Go to Project Options->iOS Bundle Signing
Actual Result: After clicking on 'iOS Bundle Signing' option, Preference window opens. when user click on Ok or cancel button without adding developer account this window goes away but iOS bundle Signing page display Identity and provisioning profiles. This is the screencast for the same.
Expected Result: Preference window should not displayed.
IDE Log: https://gist.github.com/saurabh360/0f33cfa7ce7dedcfa14f
X.S 4.2(build 2)
REGRESSION: Preference window not displaying with X.S 4.2-182e2b4208be889fc7a8302595664d349ab83fe2
This is by design
As per Comment 1, marking this issue as Verified feature.
How is that a feature? This is totally contra intuitive. See this screencast: http://screencast.com/t/6bpkxiCRy
* Why does it show that dialog? A feature should have some functionality but I don't see where that would be.
* Why does it show the dialog only the first time I enter the options?
It really doesn't make sense when developer accounts is disabled, as in comment 3 (thanks René). As that is once again the default, this behavior should change. REOPENing.
What is "developer accounts"? I remember that in older versions of XS there was a way to login to the Apple dev portal and manage provisioning profiles. Is that what you mean?
This is fixed in master, but maybe it didn't make it into 4.2.4?
It'll be in 5.0 for sure
Now Preference window doesn't shows when user click on 'iOS Bundle Signing' when not logged in into Developer Account
