That true but it needs testing as both are not marked `abstract`. That means the default UIApplicationDelegate implements both methods and (in general) iOS should query if the newer version exists to call it.

IOW it's likely possible that HandleOpenUrl is never called on iOS 4.2+. If that's the case then the documentation needs to reflect this (just adding [Obsolete] is, generally, something optional to fix).

Fixed in master ed978a203b34dd0cc3ca8e38d518f6fcb47eab84

note: according to the header files it will be deprecated "at some point". It's likely the reason it's not in a separate _deprecated_ page in Apple's documentation web site.

This fix is planned to be released with Xamarin.iOS 7.0.6, which should hit the beta channel before December 23rd.

I have verified this issue following are the steps:

1. Created ios sample project 
2. searched class UIAplicationDelegate.
3. Observed that [Obsolete] attribute marked with Override message.
