Description GouriKumari 2013-10-28 15:33:33 UTC
Steps to Reproduce:
Case: Pairing from a clean state.

1.Install MTVS 1.8.170.msi
2. Create a new project to trigger connection to build server wizard
3. Select a build host by doubleclicking the buildhost

Actual Behaviour:
The connection wizard continuoulsy showed, "Establishing connection to the build host". Since, it didn't get connected I cancelled the connection. But the buildhost address got saved in registry key and mtbserver-gui.dat got created in mac side. This happened without pairing, Windows VS and mac. Deleted the files created to return the systems to clean state.

Followed step 2 and selected the same buildhost. "Connection to Xamarin.iOS buildhost failed. Doubleclick here to select a new server" error was thrown by VS.

Supplemental Info: http://screencast.com/t/eMetId1jxgn

Test Env:

MTVS 1.8.170.msi
Windows7
VS2010
MT 7.04.138

This error can be reproduced by following the below steps as well:

1. Create a new iOS project to trigger connection wizard.
2. Select a build host and click connect button

Actual Behaviour:
"Connection to Xamarin.iOS failed. Doubleclick here to select a new server " error is thrown and the Connect build server wizard reappear again.
Second time: User is able to select and connect to the same build host and VS pairing window also pop up on windows side.

I think this has been fixed as there was a commit to cope with this issue a few days ago. As I can't repro, could you close this if you cannot repro with the latest 1.8 builds?
