this resolved bug and you do not yet see a matching new report.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open VS.
2. Go to Tools->Options->Xamarin->iOS Settings.
3. Click 'Find Mac Build Host' button.
4. Observe that 'Connect to a Xamarin.iOS Build Host' window.
Actual Result: Instruction displayed "Please install Xamarin on nearby mac" Instead of "Please install Xamarin.iOS on nearby mac".
Expected result: Instruction should displayed "Please install Xamarin.iOS on nearby mac" instead of "Please install Xamarin on nearby mac".
iOS for VS 1.6.71
David may even disagree that we want to differentiate between iOS and Android here. I'm not sure what his current thinking on that is.
The workflow diagram shows 'Xamarin', so I'll RESOLVE as FEATURE.
Today I have checked this issue with following builds:
iOS for VS 1.6.77
Now the text in instruction has been changed to 'Xamarin.iOS' from 'Xamarin' as per our expected result. This is the screencast for the same: http://screencast.com/t/U7Gl486Rq
PJ, we are not sure if the changes has been made according to the specifications or because of our expected result that was mentioned in the bug.
Can you please check for this and mark the resolution of the bug appropriately.
As of now we are assigning it to you and marking it as, Verified + Fixed.
I agree with your change to begin with, so I'm happy with this outcome!
