Using XIVS version 1.6.53, happens in both VS2012 and 2013.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open an iOS project in Visual Studio
2. Pair with mac build host
3. Debug using iPhone Simulator
Simulator launches using the iOS version selected in Visual Studio
Simulator launches with whatever iOS version was last used, ignoring version selected in VS
Verified the bug with Xamarin.iOS for VS 1.6.60, with ios simulator versions 5.0, 5.1 and 6.0
Actual result: Simulator did launch with the iOS version selected in Visual Studio.
@ Risi: Is the simulator respective to the selected iOS versions in VS installed in mac build host ? If not, it can be that mac build host is opening an installed version of simulator.
Please check if this is the case, otherwise reopen the bug.
