Steps to reproduce:
1. Open android sample "ImageEffect".
2. Debug or run the sample on Emulator.
Actual Result: Application get crashed and throwing exception "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException" on emulator while this is working fine on physical device.
Expected Result: Application Should launch emulator.

The issue here is that the sample in question is using OpenGL ES 2.0 APIs, and the base android emulators do not support GLES 2.0. This sample should behave as expected on an x86 emulator. I was unable to reproduce this on my Genymotion 4.2.2 emulator.
As per comment 1 this issue is invalid.
Hence closing this issue.
