Description tichomir_mitkov 2013-09-23 11:49:55 UTC
Overview:
Attempting to assign a value to Gdk.Pixmap.Colormap always silently fail

Steps to reproduce:

		Gdk.Pixmap pix = new Gdk.Pixmap(this.GdkWindow, 320, 240, 0);

pix.Colormap = new Gdk.Colormap(Gdk.Visual.Best, true); //or any other source of Colormap

Actual Results:
pix.Colormap is always null, regardless of the result of the right hand expression. However no error is generated and no exception is thrown

Expected Results:
pix.Colormap should accept the value of the right hand expression

Build Date & Platform:
Runtime:
	Mono 3.2.1 (tarball Fri Sep 13 22:04:12 UTC 2013) (64-bit)
	GTK 2.24.20
	GTK# (2.12.0.0)

Additional Information:
I know that internally mono calls `gdk_drawable_set_colormap()` when Gdk.Pixmap.Colormap is accessed. But it is not
expossed to GTK# to call it explicetly. However running my app with "mono --trace" shows that the routine is actually called:
[0x7faec1d05780: 0.14662 4] ENTER: (wrapper managed-to-native) Gdk.Drawable:gdk_drawable_set_colormap (intptr,intptr)(0x7faea4006cf0, 0x2b84d90, )
[0x7faec1d05780: 0.14674 4] LEAVE: (wrapper managed-to-native) Gdk.Drawable:gdk_drawable_set_colormap (intptr,intptr)
It appears that it is a bug inside that routine

False positive. Color depth mismatching of the drawables caused it. It's not a bug.
