Description Bruce McLeod 2013-09-19 07:16:56 UTC
When in Xcode you can drag a UISearchBar into an existing tableview. A guide line appears letting you choose between dropping it into the table view itself, or above the tableview in the controller.

In the Xamarin Designer, trying to do the same results in no guides and the UISearchBar replacing the tableview itself.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a new iPhone Storyboard single view project
2. Drag a tableview onto the designer and make it the first controller.
3. Try and drag a UISearchBar into the tableview.

We need to add support for UITableView.HeaderView and UITableView.FooterView. We lack the ability to set these via drag/drop and we also (presumably) do not render them if they are set in xml.

Full support for this was added last Friday. The next alpha was already in the process of being released so this fix won't be in the next release we do, but should be in the release after that.

For now if you want to set the TableViewHeader and TableViewFooter you can open the storyboard in xcode and set them there.

IO have checked this issue with following builds:

X.S 5.0(build 685)
Git revision: 25d925b654a5bc09e73c61cba03ea0fea7cae7ed
X.iOS 7.2.1-212

I am getting proper guide line like in Xcode. This is the screencast for the same: http://www.screencast.com/t/V96ZCdEcn
