Random - don't understand when but when it starts it won't go away easily

[2013-09-17 16:23:44.8] Launching application
[2013-09-17 16:23:44.8] ERR: There was an error launching the application: iOS Simulator failed to install the application.
I just had the same issue, and solved it as per bug 14891 :-
with the additional steps :-
1. removed the app from the simulator,
2. added the "-cxx" as per bug 14891,
3. restarted Xamarin studio.
All working again :)
Unfortunately if it happens randomly that will make is very difficult to repro the issue and there just isn't enough information to fix this.
Could you provide a crash log or similar?
It's all there, what I have
Andy with this issue had you filled out all the app info in the iOS Application tab?
Yes, sure. It worked before too
The -devname usage is fixed in the current monotouch beta and will be part of the next release. The warning is harmless.
In order to try to get the extra information for the failed launch, can you please open project properties then switch to the "iOS Build" page and put
-v -v -v
in the "Additional mtouch arguments" text entry towards the bottom of the "General" tab. This should give us extra information whenever the situation happens again - please send us the logs when/if that happens. Thanks.
Thanks, I think I worked around it a while ago, although can't remember how now.
There's a problem for beta channel users: no changelog. How can we know what's fixed and what to try ?
Change logs are currently published on release time. We'll consider making them part of beta releases.
Ok thanks. Here is my point of view:
how can we use betas if we don't know what's tested/fixed ?? The whole point of your betas is that, when we can't use the software for some reasons, we wait for you to fix issues and try them on betas. We're left again to guess ...
More, it would be helpful, given the amount of serious bugs, to have expected release date/version on the bug itself. This happens very rarely
There is no reason to delay the release notes.
