Description James Clancey 2013-08-22 15:55:19 UTC
When you open any csproj, .cs file, sln in windows it opens a new instance of VS. Its very common to have more then one copy of VS opened at a time on windows.

MTVS will not connect if there is another instance of VS open.

Hi James,
This is currently by design as a new instance of the VS Addin is loaded into each VS launched. We have spoken about the possibility of allowing multiple VSes but it would require a rewrite of how our pairing works.

I think the net result here is that this logic is not going to change anytime soon (if ever?) I'm going to resolve this bug. Please reopen this (Dominique or James) if I'm mistaken.
