RESOLVED FIXED

Description Ian 2013-08-01 14:33:01 UTC
I've detailed the problem here:

http://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/6617/new-vs-build-not-pushing-debug-to-iphone-device-after-xamarin-update?new=1

Basically the newest release breaks our ability to debug build toa device from VS on its own machine.

Hi Ian, theres a issue when mtouch is AOTing your code.

Can you attach your /Users/ivink/Library/Caches/Xamarin/mtbs/builds/AppleCSIOnline/5242be7d-6abf-48fa-a5eb-bb743198e20a/output/temp/mtouch-cache/CSIOnline.Entities.dll.armv7.s and /Users/ivink/Library/Caches/Xamarin/mtbs/builds/AppleCSIOnline/5242be7d-6abf-48fa-a5eb-bb743198e20a/output/temp/mtouch-cache/AppleCSIOnline.exe.armv7.s

?

Also, there was a bug with AOT (IIRC was fixed), try to clean your cache (/Users/ivink/Library/Caches/Xamarin/mtbs) on Mac and try again.

if you could add the binaries would be great.

Note. Clearing the cache as suggested in this post has fixed the problem, it's all working well now.

So does this problem got fixed ?
Comment 9 Ian 2013-08-02 21:51:44 UTC
yes, by clearing the cache as you indicated, it's all working well.
Comment 10 Anuj Bhatia 2014-02-07 19:40:22 UTC
Looks like this is back in stable.

There is no cache even created yet, and no build is requried, yet `mtbserver` goes bonkers.

Today I have Checked this issue with X.iOS 7.2.1.63 given in comment 17 and it is working fine i.e. MTBServer does not stuck at 100% when deploy application to device.

Hence, closing this issue. Marking it as verified.

Using the newest Xamarin.iOS from store.xamarin.com , version 7.2.0.2 of the build host. (Today install)

The problem is back. From Visual Studio 20123, I get 100% CPU from the mtbserver on the Mac.
Comment 22 Ian 2014-04-16 15:42:55 UTC
I have tried clearing the cache as per comment #3 as well
Comment 23 Jose Miguel Torres 2014-07-17 09:09:52 UTC
It's working fine with the latest release (VSX 3.1.224 and Xamarin.iOS 7.2.5). Please feel free to reopen it if needed.
