Description Saurabh 2013-07-19 12:48:37 UTC
Step to reproduce:
1. Open attached samople
2. Run the application with different configuration

Here is the link of the test case: https://testrail.xamarin.com/index.php?/tests/view/954619

We are seeing following issues:

Issue 1. With "Debug-Defult|Simulator" and "Debug-OldDynamic|Simulator":

Actual result:
Application build and deploy successfully on simulator. Application output: https://gist.github.com/saurabh360/019287a90e1a20e3495f

Expected result:
App should close immediately and this message shows up in the output: System.Exception: Failed to find selector setBtnMain1: on OverrideProject.ProView

Issue 2. With "Debug-Default|Device", "Debug-Static|Device" and "Debug-OldStatic|Device":

Actual result:
As soon as application deploys on the devices, it crashes.

Application output: https://gist.github.com/saurabh360/82ca75a89f5f23fcb6b2
iOS device log: https://gist.github.com/saurabh360/510f8218189437804515

Device info: iPAD 3 iOS 6.1.2
Xcode 4.5 (1839)

Expected result:
Application build and deploy successfully on the device.

Note: It is working fine only for "Debug-Dynamic|Simulator" as its expected result.

environment info:
XS 4.0.10(build 5)
X.iOS 6.4.0.2
Xcode 4.5 (1839)
Device info: iPAD 3 iOS 6.1.2

Due to large size of Bug-1449, I am unable to attache the sample.

Please find the sample 'Bug-1449' from QualityAssurance-> Samples-> ios folder.

Retested sample with different configurations.

Simulator Config:
Debug-Default/Simulator : Fail with expected output
Failure gist: https://gist.github.com/GouriKumari/b10e5121acfa6946d6d9

Debug-Dynamic/Simulator : Success
http://screencast.com/t/TZKsVQ8GMmY

Debug-OldDynamic/Simulator : Fail with expected output
Failure Gist: https://gist.github.com/GouriKumari/cd4b22b0b3fb9fda211e

Device Config:

Debug-Default/Device: Fail
Expected Result: Success
Actual Result: Fail
ConsoleLog: https://gist.github.com/GouriKumari/497aa2a20b17dc2f951b

Debug-Static/Device: App successfully launched on device
Console Log:https://gist.github.com/GouriKumari/c4508892c2f5e51371cb

Debug-OldStatic/Device: App successfully launched on device:
Console Log: https://gist.github.com/GouriKumari/1f2eb2b52df87cfa5e98

Test is failing for the configuration Debug-Default|Device
Expected Result: App must launch
Actual Result: App crashes on device
ConsoleLog: https://gist.github.com/GouriKumari/497aa2a20b17dc2f951b

Test Env:
XS: 4.0.10
Xamarin.iOS 6.4.0.2.pkg
iPadSimulator 6.1
iPad3 6.0

Before building and deploying with each configuration, I had to clean the project and also the test environment. Otherwise, most test will fail as reported in initial bug.

Updates to the above comment:

Test fails only for the following configuration:

Config: Debug|Default /Device
Expected Result: App must launch successfully
Actual Result: App crashes
ConsoleLog: https://gist.github.com/GouriKumari/497aa2a20b17dc2f951b

All other configurations works as expected.

This was a bug in the README and the test project (fixed already). Can you please retest?
