User is logged in with business license
Steps to reproduce:
1) Open VS
2) Go to tools->Options->Xamarin->Android Settings or iOS setting
3) Click on "check now"
Actual :Observed that after click on "check now", pop-up window of 'Renew license' is appear and license is automatically activated with logged-in account.
Expected : Only Pop-up window of 'Renew license' should appear and license should not be automatically activated with logged-in account.
Below is the screencast for the same:
Environment info :
Regression Status : Never Seen with stable MTVS (1.1.200) and X.Android (220.127.116.11-1)
Thanks Larry, not sure how this got into Activation.
Mohit, the Xamarin.Android activation issues should still be reported in the Android project.
I think you're reporting the correct actual behavior here.
Remember that when you're logged into such an account you're running https://testrail.xamarin.com/index.php?/cases/view/28888, "Verify logged in user who has current activation keys on the server moves to the ACTIVATE workflow", which has the following conditions:
User is logged in
User has current activation keys on the server
Now, the dialog order shown in the screencast is probably sub-optimal, so there's a question of how we can make that better.
Perhaps we want the full activation check to finish before throwing up the updater window?
This bug was targeted for a past milestone, moving to the next active non-hotfix milestone.
I have checked this issue with the latest stable build XVS 3.11.666 and observed that that this functionality of checking android version has been changes. Now after clicking on "check now" pop-up window of 'Renew license' does't appear, only updater window appears. Please have a look on screencast: http://www.screencast.com/t/9TMNUEd4
This functionality does't exist now, hence I am closing this issue.
