This bug definitely is a regression, there are several times that this sample test case has passed, here's one such example (from a 4.7 build, even).

I'm unable to reproduce this; the SlidingMenuExample starts up and runs normally for me.

What's odd is the Logcat output: there's no sign that the process was ever started. Normally (always?), logcat will contain messages for each activities that it's tarting, e.g. a message for `SlidingMenuExample.SlidingMenuExample/slidingmenuexample.Activity1`. There is no message in Logcat containing "slide", nor is there any mention of "mono", or anything else I'd expect.

Yeah, the fact that they're also seeing it on 4.6.8 here makes it seem like there's a configuration issue.

Mohit can you still reproduce this?

For another angle, PeterC can you reproduce on your S4, it was listed as one of the failed devices?

Today we have checked this issue on following builds :

VS 2010 / 2012
X.Android 4.8.00004

Device info :
Samsung S4 : 4.2.2
HTC One : 4.0.3

We are able to deploy and run both applications (SlidingMenuExample and PageViewIndicator)on device and Emulator successfully.

Hence Closing this issue. Changing its status to verified.

This kind of result is troubling to me. While it's good that you can no longer reproduce, I'm worried that there was a legitimate bug that you just cannot reproduce any longer.

Not sure what we can do about this - I can't reproduce either.
