Steps to reproduce:
Condition: License should be invalid on disk.
1. Open VS,
2. Go to Tools-> Options->Xamarin->AndroidSettings.
3. Click Check Now.
Actual result: Nothing happens when user click on 'Check Now' link when license is INVALID on disk.
Expected Result: User should able to get Check for update window with proper message after clicking on 'Check Now link.
NOT A REGRESSION: never seeing with old builds of Xamarin.Android
We have check this issue with latest Xamarin Android:
Now with invalid license, when click on 'Check Now' link it shows no internet connect work flow.
As per my understating, it is still showing wrong behavior.
Please suggest, what should be its expected behavior when used click on 'Check Now' link with invalid license on the disk?
Yeah, for now you should get a message saying "Error validating licenses. Please contact support.", as that's the current XS behavior.
This bug was targeted for a past milestone, moving to the next active non-hotfix milestone.
I have checked this issue with the latest stable build XVS 3.11.666 + XI
220.127.116.11 and observed that this issue has been fixed and no longer exist with
this build. User gets Check for update window with proper message after clicking on 'Check Now' link.
This issue has been fixed, hence I am closing this issue.
