Steps to reproduce this issue:L
1. Open or create any android application.
2. Open layout designer(.axml) in VS

Actual result: We are getting a dialog popup which is showing "Microsoft VisualStudio has stooped working"

Expected Result: User should be able to open layout designed in VS.

Regression Status:
REGRESSION: we are able to open .axml file using Xamarin.Android 4.7.9

This should be fixed in the latest build from master.

Today we have checked this issue with following builds:

All Windows
VS 2012/2010
Xamarin.Android 4.6.09005

We are successfully able to open .axml file in VS.

Changing the status to Verified.

Can't verify a 4.7 issue against a 4.6 build Nischal.

We are successfuly able to open .axml file in VS using Xamarin.Android 4.7.10-52

Changing the status to Verified.
