Steps to reproduce:
1. Open VS.
2. Create or open Android application.

Actual result: When application created, Xamarin Update popup window does not appear. While for iOS application we are getting this popup.

Expected Result: Xamarin Update popup window should appear when android application gets created in VS.

Environment details:
All Windows
VS 2012/2010
Xamarin.Android- 4.6.7-4

This feature is mentioned in Release note of MTVS 1.2 "New UpdatesDialog now shows updates for both iOS and Android and allows individual downloads and installs"

We have checked this issue with new build of Xamarin.Android 4.7.7-4 and we are getting Xamarin Update popup window after creating android application in VS.

All Windows
VS 2012/2010
Xamarin.Android 4.7.7-4

Hence closing this issue.

It would be important to check to make sure that MTVS 1.2 does not break 4.6.7-4.

To test this, you'd want to do the following:

1) Install 4.6.7-4 MonoDroid
2) Ensure that you can access the updater (for instance, for the beta channel) from Tools->Options->Xamarin->Check for Updates
3) Install 1.2.103 MTVS
4) Ensure that you can still access the updater in the same way as step 2.

MTVS 1.2 wil go to stable with the 4.6.x series of Mono for Android, so we need to make sure they work together.

Moving back to RESOLVED FIXED so we can get a verification.

Today we have checked this with Xamarin.Android 4.6.7-4 and we are getting Check for update popup window after clicking on Tools->Options->Xamarin->Android Settings and then clicking on 'Check Now' link. I have attached a screenshot for this
