Notice (2018-05-24): bugzilla.xamarin.com is now in
Please join us on
Visual Studio Developer Community and in the
Mono organizations on
GitHub to continue tracking issues. Bugzilla will remain
available for reference in read-only mode. We will continue to work
on open Bugzilla bugs, copy them to the new locations
as needed for follow-up, and add the new items under Related
Our sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed on this bug
tracker over the years. Thanks also for your understanding as we
make these adjustments and improvements for the future.
Please create a new report on
Developer Community or GitHub with
your current version information, steps to reproduce, and relevant error
messages or log files if you are hitting an issue that looks similar to
this resolved bug and you do not yet see a matching new report.
1) have a bunch of files open, some modified and some unmodified.
2) Either press and hold command-w or just press it a bunch of times quickly
3) One of several possible exceptions will be thrown. One of them is at the end of this report. Alternatively you get several model dialogs *for the same file* asking if you want to close it as it has unsaved changes. Sometimes closing that modal dialog results in two more identical dialogs for the same file appearing (probably due to bugs with monomac integration).

This has been worked around with commit d3ac6e195e3717a491280a9b5e1e47414e722cc4. It's probably not a true fix for it.
Today, we have checked this issue with:
XS 4.2.3(build 127)- 781819ed590c05a48201be53eb9602b56a4c1fde
Now this issue is not exist, there is no any crash in XS after closing multiple tabs using cmd +w. Files are closing successfully without any exception.
Hence marking this as Verified.
