If you setup an environment variable on the Run options, it is not passed to simulator executions:

Here is how it is set:

The following code on FinishedLaunching produces "1" when ran on device, nothing when running on simulator:

			var env = Environment.GetEnvironmentVariable ("MIGUEL");
			Console.WriteLine ("Got: {0}", env);

I can't reproduce this.

BTW the screenshot shows the iPhone configuration, not iPhoneSimulator.

Can you run your test case and the check the mtouch arguments (run "ps aux|grep debugtrack" to get it while the app is running)?

Ah, my bad.  I did not realize it was per-configuration.
