Hi,

We need the %APPDATA%\microsoft\Visual Studio\11.0\ActivityLog.xml and the Errors displayed in the Event Viewer with category .NET Runtime just before the one that is generated by VS (as you pasted here)

Thanks!

Is there any further information on this issue?
Comment 3 Blake Davidson 2013-06-04 23:54:54 UTC
The ActivityLog.xml does not exist. I apologize for my ignorance, but I am unfamiliar with the Event Viewer. How do I go about opening it? This error occurs when trying to open up the project.

Hello Blake, go to Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Log Viewer (look at Application log) and let us know.

Thanks,

Comment 6 Blake Davidson 2013-06-06 13:22:09 UTC
I am still unable to locate ActivityLog.xml. I didn't find one for VS2010 either.
Comment 7 Jose Miguel Torres 2013-06-06 17:55:06 UTC
That's my suggestion:

Uninstall both Xamarin.iOS and Android. Then make sure the extensions are completely removed in %PROGRAMFILES (x86)%\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\COMMON7\IDE\Extensions\Xamarin

Try install both products agains, and let's know.

Thanks,

Comment 10 Danish Akhtar 2015-07-14 01:23:03 UTC
I have checked this issue with latest stable builds and I am successfully able to load iOS projects with VS 2012. As there is no response of this bug for more then 1 year.

Hence marking this as NORESPONSE.
