Is this the SysSound or CoreAnimation sample?
Comment 3 Alex Rønne Petersen 2011-10-04 12:09:28 UTC
Either way, both SysSound and CoreAnimation build for me (Mono 2.10.6, MT 4.9.6, MD 2.8 Beta 3). Are you completely sure you're using MT 4.9.6?

SysSound builds for me (Debug|iPhoneSimulator and Debug|iPhone), but fails to run - I get an NRE on launch in the simulator:

in SysSoundViewControllerController.cs, on this line:

30			this._Sound = SystemSound.FromFile(url);

CoreAnimation, however, fails to build for Debug|iPhone (builds fine for Debug|iPhoneSimulator)

Here's the build error I get when building for device:

While reading /Users/fejj/Projects/monotouch-samples/CoreAnimation/CoreAnimation/bin/iPhone/Debug/CoreAnimation.app/Default-Landscape.png pngcrush caught libpng error:

Oh, this is on MonoTouch 4.9.6 and MonoFramework 2.10.6
Comment 6 Jeffrey Stedfast 2011-10-04 12:23:46 UTC
FWIW, the Default-Landscape.png is definitely corrupt - I can't open it with Preview either.

Fixed the SysSound sample
Comment 8 Jeffrey Stedfast 2011-10-04 13:33:05 UTC
Fixed the CoreAnimation build problem in the xcode4 branch
Comment 9 Jatin 2011-10-10 08:02:20 UTC
We have tested the SysSound sample and the CoreAnimation sample on MonoTouch 4.9.8 and Xcode 4.2 installed.

1. For SysSound: We can successfully able to build, but still we are not able to run as still it is giving the same error.

2. For CoreAnimation: The issue still exists as still we are getting the same error while we build the project for Debug/iPhone.

Hence, reopening this issue.
Comment 10 Jeffrey Stedfast 2011-11-10 15:18:31 UTC
I can't reproduce the CoreAnimation problems (works fine for me with Debug|iPhone). Same with Debug|iPhoneSimulator.

SysSound seems to work on Simulator and iPhone as well for me.

Is it possible this bug has been fixed in the meantime?
Comment 11 Saurabh 2011-12-22 02:41:26 UTC
We have tested the SysSound and the CoreAnimation samples on

MonoTouch 5.0.4 these are working fine when build and run for Debug/iPhone and Debug/iPhoneSimulator.hence closing.
