This is a 6.1 only sample as it use new API only available in 6.1.

I'll check (could be a branch issue) but it should not install on iOS versions earlier than 6.1.

Are you not using master-3.0 branch of the samples for 6.3.x ?
Comment 2 Sebastien Pouliot 2013-05-08 15:02:26 UTC
I just checked 'master' and it looks fine, i.e. deployment target is set to 6.1 and XS does not let you use earlier IOS Simulator versions.

When deploying to an iOS (6.0.3) device I get (the expected):

Installation failed: The 'MinimumOSVersion' inside Info.plist does not include the device version (error: 0xe800007e)
error MT1006: Could not install the application '/Users/poupou/git/xamarin/monotouch-samples/MapKitSearch/bin/iPhone/Debug/MapKitSearch.app' on the device: The 'MinimumOSVersion' inside Info.plist does not include the device version (error: 0xe800007e).

P.J. can you duplicate that issue with some devices ?
Comment 3 PJ 2013-05-08 15:12:42 UTC
I see exactly what you see Spouliot - the application does not deploy to 6.0.x devices and lower.

Atin, we definitely should not be changing the Deployment target on the samples in order to get around this warning.

Please let us know if you are seeing the same thing during verification, but for now I will mark as RESOLVED INVALID.

Application working fine on iOS 6.1 and above.
