Created attachment 3927 [details]
When compiling the attached test case, I would expect an error regarding class C not overriding B.Foo(). Instead, compilation succeeds.
When executing the compiled binary, it fails to execute with the following error message:
System.TypeLoadException: Could not load type 'C' from assembly 'abstract-override, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.
[ERROR] FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: System.TypeLoadException: Could not load type 'C' from assembly 'abstract-override, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.
This happens with gmcs 126.96.36.199.
I should note that gmcs 2.8 correctly issues the expected error.
