your current version information, steps to reproduce, and relevant error
messages or log files if you are hitting an issue that looks similar to
this resolved bug and you do not yet see a matching new report.
Using the "Check for updates" command in the prefs dialog doesn't use the current visible prefs. The dialog has to be closed to apply them.
This is affecting users negatively and should be easy to fix. Bumping priority on this.
The pad can now be removed; it has bene superseded by the new updater.
The panel is now hidden when the Xamarin updater is installed. In addition, the settings are applied when clicking the "Check for Updates" button.
