RESOLVED NOT_ON_ROADMAP

Description Dave Weaver 2013-04-26 14:32:39 UTC
The current beta channel (Version: 6.3.4.36) throws exceptions when registering generic types with objective-c. Previous builds warned, but allowed it. The following is the exception:

[0]	{MonoTouch.MonoTouchException: The registrar found an invalid type `Markkup.Ios.Controls.Metro.Controllers.BasePivotBarController`1[[Markkup.Ios.Controls.Metro.Controls.PivotBar, Markkup.Ios.Controls, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null]]`. Registering generic types with ObjectiveC is not supported.}	MonoTouch.MonoTouchException

Add --registrar:olddynamic to the additional mtouch arguments in the project's iOS Build options page to return to the old behavior.

Since registering generic types with objective-c is not supported, we will not allow it by default starting with 6.3 (but it will be possible to return to the old behavior).
