In some of the trunk version I've seen a feature when symbol occurences wasn't only highlighted in the text editor but also marked on the scrollbar. Like code analysing warnings and errors but using white or grey color.
Why was it removed then? I think it could be quite handy. Like to check if there's any occurences before or after some line in file.
This exists already. Preferences->Text Editor->Source analysis->Enable analysis of open files.

I may be wrong but I still believe I've seen those white markers in one of the trunk versions. :)
We had that feature - but someone found it 'too busy' and it 'looked weird' - that's why I removed them.
I used small triangles for them btw.

Just updated to the newest trunk version and still can't see them. Should they be enabled somehow?
Atm they're in a feature branch. They required API changes and we're not doing API changes so frequently anymore.
