RESOLVED NOT_ON_ROADMAP

Description Chris Hardy [MSFT] 2013-04-25 15:01:09 UTC
Allow the port number used for connection between the PC machine and Mac Build Host to be configurable to avoid conflicting port numbers with other services.
Comment 1 Marek Habersack 2013-04-26 02:42:48 UTC
mtbserver itself supports that, but the problem is that the port to listen on is created and maintained by launchd - it's specified in the /Library/LaunchAgents/com.xamarin.mtvs.buildserver.plist file. Changing it would have to happen on mac side installation time which, in turn, would require introducing interactivity into monotouch post-installation script. However, you should be able to modify the file mentioned above and VS *should* pick that change up by way of Bonjour.

Note that for launchd to notice the change you must use launchctl {unload, load} on the script.

Visual Studio does not automatically pick up the port unfortunately.
