Steps to reproduce:

1. Launch the MonoDevelop
2. Start a New Solution or Open the Existing Solution.
3. Solution sidebar appears at the left panel.
4. Right Click on Project name. 
5. Click on the option "Add"
6. Click on the option New File.
7. Observe that an error message appears.

Actual result:

After right clicking on Project name, under the option Add, when click on the option 'New Files', an error message appears. Refer to the attached screenshot.

Expected result: 

After right clicking on Project name, under the option Add, when click on the option 'New Files', it should open a New File pop-up through which the user could able to add a new file.

This is fixed in master, and should be in 2.8.1.
