RESOLVED FIXED

Description Chris Hamons 2013-04-24 15:43:58 UTC
In visual studio, it is easy to view to contents of a ienumerable either by digging into it's internals or by adding a .ToList() to the end.

In Xamarin Studio, I can't do this. They only way I know to view an ienumerable's contents is to stop debugging and add a

foreach(var v in myEnumerable)
{
Console.WriteLine(v);
}

and rebuild.

yea, our web guy requested a similar feature.

I'll look into implementing this...

Step 1 is complete.... I've implemented support in Xamarin Studio to invoke generic methods in the debugger (needed some runtime support as well, so thanks go out to Zoltan for that).

That makes it possible to invoke System.Linq.Enumeration.ToList<T> () and have it return the proper results.

Unfortunately, that will require Mono >= 3.0.12.

You can now invoke LINQ extension methods in the immediate window and the watch window if you are using Mono >= 3.0.12
