The buttons and the dropdown list in the iOS toolbar in VS2012 do not work (grayed out) if VS2010 has not been installed before.
I had VS2010 installed in a machine, installed VS2012, the Xamarin products and everything works fine; I formatted the same computer but this time I ONLY installed VS2012 and the Xamarin products and the toolbar buttons do not work.
I have also installed a Virtual Machine and tried the same setup (VS2012 and Xamarin) and the toolbar button still do not work.... but if I add VS2010 to the mix, it works.
FYI: It connects fine to the Build Host. See ScreenCast for demo. http://screencast.com/t/OJiyA8pDQBTj
Steps to Reproduce:
- Fresh and clean install of Windows 8
- Install VS2012
- Install Xamarin
- The toolbar will not work at this point (they will appeared disabled -grayed out-)
- Toolbar should work
- Windows 8 Pro x64
- Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate
- Xamarin.Android 4.6.02001
- Xamarin.iOS 1.0.897
This should be fixed in the 4.7.x Android release and the 1.2.x of iOS.
