Test Case

I am trying to solve is that the images don't appear correctly when editing the Storyboard in XCode. I thought maybe by following the prescribed naming conventions and folder locations that my image reference in the Image View would work correctly.

The images reference fine if placed in the project root, but they don't work when placed in sub-folders.

E.g., logo.png works fine, but if I move it to _Resources/Images, then neither _Resources/Images/logo.png nor Images/logo.png works. Also tried stripping the file extension with no luck.

The value I have in the Xcode image location is "_Resources/Images/logo.png". When I launch the app, the image appears correctly. However, in XCode, I just get a missing image icon.

Using Xamarin Studio v4.0.3 (build 13), XCode v4.6.1 (4H512)

This is an Xcode limitation, the Xcode designer does not support images in subdirectories.

I recommend our BundleResource support - place the images in the Resources directory, with a build action of "BundleResource", and they will be placed in the root of the compiled bundle, and exported to the root of the Xcode project.
