RESOLVED NORESPONSE

Description Allie Miller 2013-03-21 09:19:56 UTC
If you debug, stop your debug but don't exit the application and start debugging again in restarts your device
Reproduced on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Sony Xperia Ion LT28h, Google/Asus Nexus 7, Samsung Galaxy SII, Prestigio MultiPhone 4020 DUO, MultiPad 7.0 PRO DUO & MultiPad 9.7 ULTRA DUO

The errors were reproduced at work and at home using different computer configuration with different cables.

This is all I get from my log:

Detecting installed packages

Waiting for packaging to complete
Removing previous version of application
Installing application on device
The device was disconnected. Please reconnect it and try again.
Deployment failed. Device disconnected.

The new beta (now Version 4.0.3 (build 13), error producing on Version 4.0.2 (build 18)) seems to have dealt with the issue.

It restarts the DEVICE?!

Please provide logcat from before the device restart so that we can determine why the device is being restarted. We should not be restarting the device.

This may be "worked around" when Bug #10339 is fixed, as Stopping debugging will then cause the app to exit.
