Xamarin Studios log excerpt
In Xamarin Studio 4.0.2 when dealing with solution files with a lot of project, an ArgumentNullException is thrown when trying to change the properties of the solution or reordering/renaming of projects.
It only happens in some solution files, MvvmCross solution is one of them. Solution files with lots of projects seems to be the common least denominator thus far. I haven't found a way to narrow down the scope of the bug any futher:
1) Get MvvmCross and open the solution:
$ git clone https://github.com/slodge/MvvmCross.git
$ cd MvvmCross
$ open MvvmCross_NoSamples.sln
2) Rename any project in the solution
3) Be greeted with a dialog announcing that the saving of the solution failed, ArgumentNullException. Detailed error from the logs is attached to this report.
This bug didn't exist in the first official (non-beta) Xamarin Studio version. I don't have another mac to try to reproduce it there, to see if there might be something wrong with some runtime settings.
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 11039 ***
