MonoDevelop 3.1.1 and Xamarin Studio 4.0.2 SideBySide Font Bug

Prior to 4.0.2 (Build 18) update, the free open source Adobe Source Code Pro font rendered correctly in Xamarin Studio. Now it appears all washed out. Tried uninstalling and re-installing both the TTF and OTF versions of the font but same washed out screen with both. However, it still renders fine in MonoDevelop 3.1.1 Adobe uses this font as the default font in their new designer/developer tools so it was nice to be able to use it in Xamarin Studio as well.

Works for me.

You've to select 'regular' font style - it's just selecting the wrong default. We've already a bug open about this issue. But the font renders correctly when set to "Regular".

Works for me.

I want to add that now that Mike has pointed out that "it's just selecting the wrong font", what it appears to be doing is just selecting the *first* font variation in the family no matter which one you actually pick. So if you install the entire Source Code Pro Family, you have a choice between Extra Light, Light, Regular, etc. Since "Extra Light", "Light" appear in the fonts list in Xamarin Studio before "Regular", the only way you can get the "Regular" font to actually be displayed in the text editor is to uninstall (using Font Book for example) all the Source Code Pro font variations that appear in the list before "Regular" is displayed. So for me, that meant uninstalling the "Light" and "Extra Light" variations. Once I did this, "Regular" is listed first in the Xamarin Studio dialog and now it renders correctly in the Text Editor.

However, just to reiterate, the correct variation does get selected and displays correctly in MonoDevelop 3.1.1
