If I create a new Solution, with an Android project, an iOS project and a portable lib project. I'm able to add a reference to the portable lib for the iOS project, but not for the Android project.
Xamarin Studio v 4.0.1 (build 9) on a Mac OS X 10.8.2

Android Portable and iOS Portable Test Solution
Added a solution where I experience this. Notice You can add the Portable Lib reference to the iOS project, but not to the Android one.
Work fine for me in latest Xamarin Studio builds, I think Jeff fixed this recently.
It certainly does not work in Xamarin Studio v 4.0.1, with Xamarin.Android
Version: 4.6.0 (Business Edition) and Xamarin.iOS Version: 188.8.131.52 (Business Edition).
When I click to Edit references in the Android Project, it lists 2 projects, 1 the ios project which obviously should be incompatible (as it states).
The other one is the Portable library, which should be compatible, but is also listed as incompatible,
it says something like: Incompatible target framework: v.NETPortable, Version=v4.0,Profile=Profile1.
If its fixed, when do you plan on releasing a fix to the public for it?
I can't promise a timeline - we have regular releases but they have to go though QA cycles.
There is a 4.0.2 on the Beta updater channel which may include it.
What's the best place to check for information about beta updater channel releases?
I.e. commit messages or release notes?
I've tried Version 4.0.2 (build 18) and I can confirm that the bug is still present there.
I.e. I'm not able to add a reference to the Android projects for portable libs.
I also tried to create a new project using this updated Xamarin studio (and android / ios), still no go.
Then it'll be in 4.0.3.
Brilliant, thanks Michael ;)
In case other people see this, the issue is present in both Alpha, Beta and Stable Update channels.
