Description Alan McGovern 2011-09-28 13:53:52 UTC
I can never tell if monodevelop has hit an infinite loop generating the completion database or if it's just taking a while. Generation of the database should be done with a ProgressMonitor which (at the very least) uses the number of remaining assemblies left to parse as its indicator of progress.
Comment 1 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2011-09-28 18:12:46 UTC
IIRC it is a progress monitor, it just doesn't have a progress bar. However, it does report the current task. Hover on the parsing icon on the status bar - the tooltip shows the name of the current assembly or file.
Comment 2 Lluis Sanchez 2011-09-28 18:21:49 UTC
Closing since there is already an indicator of the progress.
