Description Gerry.w 2011-09-28 04:56:15 UTC
When starting the program, we get the following exception:

cli.System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
	at cli.System.Delegate.DynamicInvokeImpl(Unknown Source)
	at cli.System.MulticastDelegate.DynamicInvokeImpl(Unknown Source)
	at cli.System.Delegate.DynamicInvoke(Unknown Source)
	at cli.System.Windows.Forms.XplatUIDriverSupport.ExecutionCallback(Unknown Source)
	at com.inet.designer.Main.main(SourceFile:25)

It is not certain, where exactly the Exception occurs in the code, but it is a problem with a part of the .NET MonoMac API not being found. The "cli" in front of the library states that the calls come from IKVM into the MonoMac Framework.

You would need to provide us with a minimal self-contained test case for someone to look at this, as currently the above does not ring any bells.

We do not actively test IKVM with MonoMac, so you might have to reach out to the wider community to look at this bug.

I created a download Package which can be obtained at

http://download.inetsoftware.de/ikvmtest.zip

When unpacked, you can execute the following command from within the directory of the package:

mono bin/ikvm.exe -jar i-net\ Clear\ Reports\ Designer.app/Contents/Resources/Java/core/clearreportsfree.jar

This will throw some exceptions with the targetInvocationException being the most problematic one. The "cli." prefix comes from IKVM indicating that it belongs to .NET

This is not a MonoMac issue, this is a Windows.Forms issue on Mac.

It seems like you are missing the libgdiplus.dylib in your bundle or in your path, you might need to adjust the path for it.
